I thought I was in shape
2 rounds
4x 1 min sprint, 1 min jog
Took a 4 min light jog break between rounds. Since I promised Scott we'd start incorporating some running, thought I'd see if the old wheels still worked. They do, but barely. The interval running drove my HR up (170s all the way through), and was much more taxing on my respiration than the more lifting-intensive crossfit workouts - was fighting bronchoconstriction the whole way.

Damn, 1 minute is a long time to be sprinting. Sounds painful.
Try those rings out yet?
Not yet, might see if I can put them up in back room at the Palladium, on the pullup bars or that strange cage apparatus - if I can get it up somewhere high I'll try some dips and muscle-up technique, otherwise push-ups.
Scouted for suitable hanging places on the West side when I went running, but nothing really promising.
Nice day to run outside.
I think I'm going to order a pair, found them on sale for $64.95. Let me know if you think they're not worth the money (like they'll fall apart in 2 days or something).
Rings seem nice, lightweight but strong.
The buckle looks heavy duty, but may turn out to be a pain to constantly set up and take down: you're meant to undo the free end of the webbing from the buckle, loop it over whatever your support is, then rethread it through the buckle. The webbing length is then adjustable at the buckle. Only problem is that the webbing is really a pain to get through the buckle, took me a good 10 minutes - maybe it'll get easier as the webbing breaks in (or I get smarter at it).
Either way, the webbing buckle system can be modded easily, the rings themselves look sweet - I'll let you know. If you can think of a place to try em out and want to do it tomorrow, let me know...
Roof of Coles? A tree? Any playgrounds around? There's also that park on the east side that has a track. It's got some pullup bars. I'll let you know if I'm game tomorrow.
OK, just give me a call. Coles doesn't reopen til later this week, I think I'll check out the East River park...
