A Met-Con that Eric can do!

warm-up varied.
ED worked on PT stuff with knee
KL & SS barbell complex, push-ups, sit-ups

workout:
5 rounds for time of
3/4 mile stationary bike, level 13
30 stationary lunges
35 push-ups

KL 26:19
SS 33:29
ED 38:21

This workout felt pretty good today, though it was certainly a beast while we were doing it. I haven't sweat like that for a long time. It was nice to get a good metcon going though. Push-ups were definitely the limiting factor (again) but they weren't bad for all that. I think everyone was doing them in sets of 5 or so at the end. We should do this one again, but with a proposed change:

500m row
10 35# one arm overhead walking lunges, each arm
35 push-ups

oh yeah.

One long, continuous burner. Didn't really feel this in my lungs as much as in my heartrate, which peaked during the cycling/lunges in the 180s.

Sweating up a storm today, maybe due to the ridiculous humidity. Man, I hate that exercycle...

So, now that Eric is onto lunges, I've been dreaming about that overhead lunge/burpee metcon lately ...

I am totally down on trying that one again, you know there's a one arm overhead lunge variant with pull-ups instead of burpees too.

We actually talked about it the other day. I wouldn't mind bringing it back.

Once my lungs clear then? Maybe Thurs evening?

well, I think that I'm not quite ready for the burpee/lunge metcon workout... yes, while I do love that workout, I think that my knee needs a bit more recovery. I had to do the last two lunge sets of this workout using only my left leg as the right lung hurt the knee. And I think burpees are a bit agressive. I'm holding out hope that in about three or four weeks I'll be ready... (they're starting me on jogging next week--so we're getting closer...)
