Brunpee!

From waaayback: Crossfit WOD 041027
6 rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters
25 Burpees

KL 30:20 (i think)
SS 38:50

We did 1 1/2 laps on the Coles track and jump and push-up burpees. I think both of us wanted to quit after the second and third rounds, but neither of us wanted to be the one to say it - nice job Scott, don' t think I would have finished it alone.

Still haven't figured out if CF standard burpees include the push-up or not...

Well, that certainly counts as punishment. Nice work guys.

Just glad the weekend's on now, so I can get some rest. I don't want to come out going too hard.

Gotta give Scott credit - his burpee form was picture perfect to the very end. I was flopping around like a gasping fish by then.

This one is probably my least favorite two exercises, linked together, but on the other hand it sure feels good when it's over.

I'm also impressed by the hour at which the workout was conducted! Most new yorkers are sensible enough not to attempt such foollery so early in the morning. Next week we'll have to do some gimp friendly afternoon workouts.

I think Scott would appreciate shifting back to an afternoon schedule.

Eric, any particular gimp-friendly exercises in mind? Right now, these cross my mind:
- push-ups
- planks
- bench press
- pull-ups

I sure would. I think you forgot some workouts too though, like

dips
overhead press
shrugs
muscle ups!!!

and I think these could also work,

good mornings
bent-over rows
face pulls
light weight renegade rows

As long as the extent of knee loading is fine by Eric, I'm game.
