warm up:
KL: pushups, situps, good mornings, pullups
SS: barbell complex, pullups, dips, windmills
workout:
5x5 deadlifts
KL: 275, 285, 295(failed last rep), 2x275
SS: 5x225
weight felt real heavy this morning, but it was good to be back. I definitely had a little bit of dread going into it, but things worked out well. I was really limited in what I could lift today by my grip, but I think it's best to be a little easy on my body for the first day back into it.

Scott, I think gravity was just a little stronger this morning...
I started a little too ambitious today, bailed on that last rep @295 because it felt like it might do a little back damage. Putting down the bar and pulling from true dead made it a lot tougher - by the end I was trying to link reps, but the grip was limiting...
Welcome back Scott! You'll be up to speed in a few days.
Re. grip, you may want to try using a mixed grip. Go light the first few reps, it takes some getting used to.
