ED 13:20 #65 (?)
KL 6:30 #75 (15, 10-5, 5-5-5 and 20, 10-5-5, 5-5-5-3-2)
cooldown:
2 rounds planks: front plank 1 min, 2x side plank 1 min
We kept the same weight on the bar and blasted through, with the idea that progressive tiring of the shoulders would keep the 15RM for each exercise about the same. Scott bravely upped the weight to 75# from the last time we tried it. Actually, even at the increased weight the shoulder work felt easier - I think it was mostly technique. The pullups just didn't feel right today though, out of sync on the kipping, think I shorted at least a couple. Eric's first time at this, did an excellent job at trying to kip, and he blew right through the shoulder work.

Damn good times, not sure I could even do 60 pullups in 6 minutes!
It was interesting to see where we needed work. KL just blew through the first pull-ups, whereas I was doing triples after the first six for the rest of the complex. I had almost no trouble with the presses, but my form needs work on both the push-press and the jerk-press. I did tweak my knee just a tiny bit. It was on one of the last push-presses. And, I had to do about 10 negatives during the pull-ups--they really suck if you do them seriously.
Good stuff all around. One of these days Scott will realize that planks suck more than he remembers.
perhaps. Also, I did push presses for the last 10 of the last set instead of push jerks because I couldn't get the form quite right and it was just easier that way (technically it's supposed to be harder)
The planks actually weren't as bad as I'd remembered, but they were still pretty bad.
