DE Lower 1

10x2 box squats:
KL 5x145, 5x155 (sitting on 6 plates)
BL 2x135, 8x145 (sitting on 5 plates)

3x5 (per arm) suitcase deadlifts (95)

Might be better to stick with less weight next time. The bar wasn't moving very quickly in the last few sets.

Nice first workout for the new Doctor!

I was definitely lagging a bit from the night before, but regardless the box squats were slow - less weight or higher box?

The suitcase dl's were awesome though, right up there with ohs in my book...

Probably drop weight, usual prescriptions for box squats are 50-60% of 1RM. I guess this depends on what you are training; the Westside guys box squat for speed, and training the technical aspects of the squat. They alternate these speed workouts with max-effort days (which strangely enough do not usually include squats). I'll see if I can find a video that shows how fast they are moving during the box squats.

Agree on the suitcase deadlifts, great addition.
